Patriots believe Rob Gronkowski not seriously injured

The New England Patriots believe tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee) "is going to be ok," said ESPN's Adam Schefter.

What It Means:

We should know more after Monday's MRI, but all early reports have suggested Gronkowski's knee injury is minor. He still may miss Week 13, but at this point, it doesn't look like he will miss significant time. While Gronkowski is out, Scott Chandler will likely assume a larger role.

Among tight ends with at least 30 targets, Gronkowski entered Week 12 ranked second in Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target. Against the Denver Broncos in Week 12, he added 7.64 Reception NEP on 10 targets.
