Royce Freeman (ankle) not expected to play for Denver in Week 9
Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman is not likely to play on Sunday in the team's Week 9 game against the Houston Texans.
What It Means:
Freeman has been dealing with a high ankle sprain, and he's not yet ready to make his return. With the Broncos' bye coming up next week, it makes sense to give Freeman an extra week to fully recover.
