Green Bay's Eddie Lacy shreds Chicago for 139 yards, touchdown

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy delivered 105 yards on 17 carries and caught four of five targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' Week 12 loss to the Chicago Bears.

What It Means:

This was easily Lacy’s best performance of the year. In his second game back from a groin injury, Lacy looked spry, dodging tackles and showing a nice burst. As he usually does when he’s on his game, Lacy got low and bullied his way to extra yards. Lacy’s 29-yard run on his first carry of the game was his longest of the season. Later he added a touchdown on a 25-yard catch-and-run from Aaron Rodgers, though he almost blew it by letting go of the ball right as he reached the goal line. Lacy was benched after fumbling at the end of an 18-yard run in the second quarter, but he was back out for the start of the second half.

Lacy turned his 17 carries into -2.07 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP), and he added 3.15 Reception NEP on his five targets. The Detroit Lions, Green Bay's Week 13 opposition, ranks 21st in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play.
