Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr received a public vote of confidence from head coach Jon Gruden on Tuesday.
"He is the strength of this football team," Gruden said. "He is on my watch. I said it when I got here, if he doesn't play well, I've failed." Carr was pretty abysmal in the Raiders' loss to the Seattle Seahawks this past Sunday in London. The upcoming bye week may help him get on track.
Carr is averaging 15.5 FanDuel points and 297.2 passing yards per game this season with 7 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
