Cleveland's Johnny Manziel demoted to third-string

Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has been demoted to the role of third-string quarterback.

What It Means:

Browns' coach Mike Pettine said general manager Ray Farmer and owner Jimmy Haslam were in "full support" of his decision. Even though starting Manziel made the most sense from a football perspective, Pettine's hands were tied. This comes after Manziel's best performance as a pro against the Pittsburgh Steelers before the bye, but it is clear Pettine is fed up with the repeated off-field issues

Josh McCown will get the start against the Baltimore Ravens and will likely start the rest of the way. Baltimore ranks 16th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play. We have McCown projected for 273 yards, 1.33 touchdowns and 0.94 interceptions against the Ravens.
