Giants' Olivier Vernon (ankle) to make season debut Thursday night
New York Giants defensive lineman Olivier Vernon (ankle) will make his season debut Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Vernon returned to practice last week and will finally take the field after missing the first five games of the season with a high-ankle sprain. He should provide an upgrade for a Giants defense that is currently tied with the Oakland Raiders for last in the NFL in sacks.
The Giants D/ST is tied for 18th in numberFire's Week 6 fantasy rankings. Our models project Vernon for 25.8 tackles, 2.8 sacks, 0.9 pass deflections, 0.7 forced fumbles, and 0.3 fumbles recovered this season.
