Case Keenum comes up short in Broncos' loss to Chiefs
Denver Broncos quarterback Case Keenum completed 21-of-33 passes for 245 yards with 0 touchdowns and 1 interception in a 27-23, Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night.
The Broncos held a 23-13 lead with a little over 12 minutes left on the clock, but then Patrick Mahomes did Patrick Mahomes things and Keenum failed to respond. He missed a wide-open Demaryius Thomas in the closing minutes for what would have been a walk-in 28-yard go-ahead score. It was a disappointing showing in what was an excellent matchup on paper. Keenum hasn't thrown a touchdown pass since Week 1, and things are unlikely to ease up in Week 5 on the road against the New York Jets.
Keenum scored 8.8 FanDuel points in Week 4, and he's now failed to score more than 10.0 FanDuel points in back-to-back outings. He's averaging 247.0 passing yards per game, with 4 touchdowns (1 rushing) and 6 interceptions.
