3 Fantasy Football Quarterback Streamer Options for Week 13

Quarterback streaming isn't for everyone, but if you're in a standard league -- like a 10- or 12-team league that features just one starting signal caller -- grabbing potentially productive quarterbacks in good matchups off the waiver wire is often doable.

Sure, you won't have the luxury of setting it and forgetting it with Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback, but when the top-end signal-callers draw a tough matchup, their upside can oftentimes be matched by a waiver-wire option in a more favorable situation.

If you're looking for some quarterback options from the waiver wire -- regardless of league size -- we have you covered. Here are three quarterbacks rostered in fewer than roughly 40% of Yahoo leagues who are in good spots this week.

Jared Goff, Lions

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 46%

The Detroit Lions are in a great spot this week as they host the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it makes Jared Goff a superb streamer.

The Jags-Lions matchup has a 51.5-point total, the second-best of the week, and Detroit's 26.5-point implied total is the week's fourth-highest.

Jacksonville has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (18.7), so all the boxes are checked for Goff.

We project Goff to amass 16.9 fantasy points and rank him as Week 13's QB12. And if you're in the roughly 40% of leagues in which Trevor Lawrence is on the wire, T-Law is also a great option on the flip side of this clash, as we peg him to produce 18.0 fantasy points.

Kenny Pickett, Steelers

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 11%

Kenny Pickett rates as a solid QB2 this week in a road matchup at the Atlanta Falcons.

Atlanta has permitted the 10th-most fantasy points per game to signal-callers (18.2), and Pickett has been trending up. He had scored at least 16.0 fantasy points in two straight starts prior to posting 12.2 fantasy points on Monday night in Week 12. But he played fairly well in that Week 12 game, completing 20 of 28 passes for 174 yards -- he just didn't get a touchdown.

Pickett has been offering some juice as a runner, too, which boosts his floor and ceiling. He's run for at least 20 yards in four of the past five games, including 32-plus rushing yards in three of those outings.

Our model has Pickett scoring 15.5 fantasy points and slots him as the week's QB18.

Deshaun Watson, Browns

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 59%

With Deshaun Watson on the wire in slightly more than 40% of leagues, I thought he was worth mentioning even though he surpasses our roster-percentage cutoff.

Watson is set to make his debut this week, and he's coming back to a soft matchup with the Houston Texans. Houston's D -- which ranks fifth-worst by our metrics -- barely provided any resistance to Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins last week before Miami pulled its key players.

Prior to his year-and-a-half absence, Watson was a fantasy goldmine as a dual-threat weapon. While he might be rusty in his first few games, he has the upside to be a QB1 the rest of the way.

Our algorithm projects Watson for 19.1 fantasy points, ranking him as the QB7 this week.
