The team that saw their odds improve the most since last week is the Seattle Seahawks. Their victory over the New York Giants in Week 8 improved their record to 5-3 on the season, and their Super Bowl odds came into +6500 from +10000 a week ago. But while the bookies are suddenly more confident of Seattle's title chances, our nERD metrics still give them just a 40.9% of making the playoffs, let alone winning everything.

The Cleveland Browns' victory over the Cincinnati Bengals also boosted their title chances, with the Browns now available at +8000 ahead of Week 9. The Bengals sit at 4-4 and have seen their odds fall out to +2800. The Baltimore Ravens have the shortest odds of all the AFC North teams at +1400. The Pittsburgh Steelers, fresh from a thumping by the Philadelphia Eagles, have fallen all the way down to +85000, with only the Houston Texans boasting longer odds than the six-time champions.

The New York Jets had won four in a row coming into Week 8, but their loss to the New England Patriots put a serious dent into their title odds. The Jets are now sitting at +14000 after you could have got them at +7500 a week ago. The Indianapolis Colts' odds continue to get longer after their loss to the Washington Commanders sent them to 3-4-1 for the year. The Colts are now +15000 and have just a 7.6% chance of making the postseason, according to our metrics.
