3 Fantasy Football Quarterback Streamer Options for Week 5

Quarterback streaming isn't for everyone, but if you're in a standard league -- like a 10- or 12-team league that features just one starting signal caller -- grabbing potentially productive quarterbacks in good matchups off the waiver wire is often doable.

Sure, you won't have the luxury of setting it and forgetting it with Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback, but when the top-end signal-callers draw a tough matchup, their upside can oftentimes be matched by a waiver-wire option in a more favorable situation.

If you're looking for some quarterback options from the waiver wire -- regardless of league size -- we have you covered. Here are three quarterbacks rostered in fewer than roughly 40% of Yahoo leagues who are in good spots this week.

Teddy Bridgewater, Dolphins

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 2%

You could do a lot worse than streaming a signal-caller who is in a good matchup and is tied to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Teddy Bridgewater is set to start Week 5 for the Miami Dolphins in a date with the New York Jets. Gang Green has permitted the 11th-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (18.1). Miami has a solid 24.0-point implied total as a 3.5-point road favorite.

Bridgewater has the ability to run a bit, which is always a boost, and we project him for 16.2 fantasy points, ranking him as our QB15 for Week 5.

Jameis Winston, Saints

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 36%

If Jameis Winston is able to play after sitting out in Week 4, he's a smashing streaming pick.

The New Orleans Saints are at home versus the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (21.9) and just surrendered 45 points to the Detroit Lions.

Winston isn't the only key injury for the Saints. Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara and Jarvis Landry are all dinged up, too, so there is a lot of news to keep track of if you're interested in streaming Jameis this week. But if he's able to play and some of the Saints' top weapons return, Winston is capable of having a big day in this matchup.

Ryan Tannehill, Titans

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 18%

Ryan Tannehill is another waiver-wire quarterback in a superb matchup.

Tannehill will be on the road to face the Washington Commanders. Washington has given up 21.2 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (seventh-most).

Tannehill has been fairly quiet this season, topping out at a single-game high of 266 passing yards, but he can come through here. He also adds a rushing element, running for exactly seven touchdowns in each of the previous two years.

We project Tanny to score 15.8 fantasy points and slot him in as our QB16 this week.
