4 NFL FanDuel Value Plays to Target in Week 10

Week 10 of the NFL is here! We have a loaded 11-game slate, and there are plenty of options across the board. Let's take a look at some value plays to help you afford the top stars on the main slate.

Mike Davis, RB, Carolina Panthers ($5,400)

Fantasy football can be a cruel and unforgiving world, but you must forge forward with a new week upon us.

Week 9 saw the return of Carolina Panthers' star running back Christian McCaffrey after missing several weeks dues to an ankle injury. He posted 32.1 FanDuel points from 28 total touches and racked up over 100 yards combined. It's as if he never missed a snap. However, he sustained a shoulder injury on Sunday, and his status for Week 10 is in doubt. If CMC ends up missing this game, it will cause Mike Davis ($5,400) to be back as the starting running back.

In the six games Davis was the starting running back for the Panthers, he posted 19.1 FanDuel or more points three times while having 10.5 points or fewer in the other three games. While the games with the lower production aren't great, what is encouraging is the fact that he played on 71% of the snaps or more in all six games. The Panthers are utilizing him in a similar fashion as they do with CMC -- a clear workhorse running back.

This is a situation that needs to be monitored as the week goes on because Davis has immense value if he were to be the starter for the Panthers.

Danny Amendola, WR, Detroit Lions ($5,200)

The Detroit Lions have several questions to answer about injuries this week, but that means we can get a bit of value.

Wide receiver Kenny Golladay is still listed as week-to-week with a hip injury. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was in the concussion protocol after Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, but he has cleared it and is on track to play versus the Washington Football Team. There are a few moving parts, but if Golladay is out again, you can firmly look to wide receiver Danny Amendola ($5,200), who saw 10 targets in Sunday's loss. He brought those 10 targets in for 7 receptions, 77 yards, and 11.4 FanDuel points.

That volume of targets shouldn't be too much of a surprise considering he has the third-most (40) on the team, and Golladay didn't play. The Lions are at home with a 24.75-point implied team total, along with being 4.0-point favorites. It's not the greatest game environment, but Amendola is affordable and has a clear role in the passing game when Golladay is out.

Ross Dwelley, TE, San Francisco 49ers ($5,000)

To say the San Francisco 49ers have it bad this season with injuries would be an understatement, but that gives them a number of value options.

Last week, the 49ers placed tight end George Kittle on Injured Reserve, essentially ending his season. Kittle leads the team in targets (48) this season, so there is plenty of room for a backup to step in and get involved in the offense. That backup is Ross Dwelley ($5,000), who took the lead role in the 49ers' most recent game against the Green Bay Packers. Dwelley ran 26 routes in that game, compared to Jordan Reed, who only ran 10.

While the 26 routes, Dwelley didn't do a whole lot, finishing with 6.7 FanDuel points from 3 targets, 3 receptions, and 52 yards. That's not amazing production, but it was the first game in that role for Dwelley, along with having Nick Mullens as the starting quarterback. Hopefully, after another week of practice, things will start to trend upward for Dwelley. This is on top of the fact it's a great matchup versus the New Orleans Saints, who are allowing the eighth-most (12.3) FanDuel points per game to opposing tight ends.

Jalen Reagor, WR, Philadelphia Eagles ($5,600)

The Philadelphia Eagles have dealt with a ton of injuries this season, but Jalen Reagor is back and healthy.

Reagor, the rookie wide receiver, was activated from Injured Reserve two weeks ago for their game against the Dallas Cowboys. He ended that contest with 6 targets, 3 receptions, and a single touchdown, good for 11.7 FanDuel points. While those aren't amazing numbers, Reagor played 73% of the offensive snaps -- the third-highest among the team's wide receivers -- and those 6 targets were the second-most on the team.

This week, he has a chance to build on that outing since the Eagles are up against the Giants, who are allowing 32.9 FanDuel points per game to opposing quarterbacks -- the ninth-most in the league. An emerging rookie, an affordable salary, and a great matchup for Reagor this week.
