3 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming Options for Week 8

Hey, it's your friendly neighborhood D/ST streaming specialist, here again, giving you weekly streaming recommendations. A reminder that lines are courtesy of NFL odds, and roster percentages and scores are according to ESPN's fantasy platform. Assume that the listed order is the preferred order.

Week 7 was a definitive boom week for this column, with the Kansas City Chiefs going off and solid weeks for the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers.

Hold on To

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs were great last week, and they get an even better matchup this week as they're favored by nearly three touchdowns at home against the New York Jets. I hope you got KC last week, because this is a good as it gets, folks. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, another graduate from this list, are another premier option this week. Now for the actual streamers, unfortunately it only gets worse from here.

Los Angeles Chargers

at Denver Broncos
Spread: Chargers -3.0
Implied Points Allowed: 21.25
Roster Percentage: 38%

Even in Denver, it's surprising to see the Chargers favored by only three points. Maybe that number moves in favor of the Chargers throughout the week, but either way, the powder blue squad is about as good as it gets this week among low-rostered streamers. Drew Lock doesn't appear to be the answer for the Denver Broncos, as he continues to turn the ball over and is taking more sacks of late.

Tennessee Titans

at Cincinnati Bengals
Spread: Titans -5.5
Implied Points Allowed: 24.5
Roster Percentage: 14%

Unlike Lock, Joe Burrow does seem to be the answer for the Cincinnati Bengals, but the team does appear to be overmatched in Week 8 as nearly a touchdown underdog versus the Tennessee Titans. Burrow also takes four sacks per game and will likely be throwing a lot. Those sacks all count as fantasy points and are among the likeliest plays to result in turnovers. That makes the Titans worth a shot this week.

Green Bay Packers

vs. Minnesota Vikings
Spread: Packers -6.5
Implied Points Allowed: 24
Roster Percentage: 9%

Like the Titans above, the Green Bay Packers are in a game that's predicted to be a shootout, but against a pass-reluctant team like the Minnesota Vikings, that's not necessarily a deal-breaker. Kirk Cousins has shown himself to be prone to sacks and turnovers when passing. The Packers aren't the ideal streamer, but if you can't get any of the aforementioned D/STs, they'll have to do.
