3 Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Options for Week 7

Quarterback streaming isn't for everyone, but if you're in a standard league -- like a 10- or 12-team league that features just one starting signal caller -- grabbing potentially productive quarterbacks in good matchups off the waiver wire is often doable.

Sure, you won't have the luxury of setting it and forgetting it with Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback, but when the top-end signal-callers draw a tough matchup, their upside can oftentimes be matched by a waiver-wire option in a more favorable situation.

If you're looking for some quarterback options from the waiver wire -- regardless of league size -- we have you covered. Here are three quarterbacks rostered in fewer than roughly 30% of Yahoo leagues who are in good spots this week.

Teddy Bridgewater, Panthers

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 45%

It's not a good week for streaming. If Justin Herbert (roster percentage of 59%) is available in your league, scoop him up. But among guys on fewer rosters, Teddy Bridgewater is the top streaming option.

Bridgewater is on the road versus the New Orleans Saints, a team that is giving up the fourth-most fantasy points per game to signal callers. In its last game, New Orleans surrendered 264 yards and four scores to Justin Herbert.

For his part, Bridgewater has been able to take advantage of his better matchups in 2020. He scored 19.36 fantasy points against the Las Vegas Raiders, 26.24 versus the Arizona Cardinals and 20.82 against the Atlanta Falcons.

We have Bridgewater as this week's QB16, projecting him for 17.40 fantasy points.

Baker Mayfield, Browns

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 36%

If you watched any of Baker Mayfield's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, you're going to have a tough time putting him in your lineup. But on a thin streaming week, Mayfield is in play thanks to a nice matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bengals rank as the sixth-worst defense and ninth-worst pass D, per our schedule-adjusted metrics. They just let Philip Rivers go for 371 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Prior to his face-plant in Week 6, Mayfield had scored between 14 and 16 fantasy points in four consecutive games. The first game in that span came against Cincy, when Mayfield totaled 15.26 fantasy points in Week 2.

Passing volume is always a concern as the Cleveland Browns want to pound the rock, but Cleveland is only a 3.5-point favorite. This game has a 51.0-point total, too. We project Mayfield for 15.79 fantasy points, making him our QB21.

Kyle Allen, Washington

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 3%

You want to play dudes against the Dallas Cowboys.

Dallas is allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to signal callers, and they're the league's worst defense, per our numbers. Allen scored 16 points in a soft matchup with the New York Giants in Week 6, and he totaled at least 17 fantasy points in five of 13 games a season ago.

You should go here only in deep leagues or in two-quarterback formats, but we peg Allen for 14.02 points and have him as our QB28.
