3 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming Options for Week 7

Hey, it's your friendly neighborhood D/ST streaming specialist, here again, giving you weekly streaming recommendations. A reminder that lines are courtesy of the FanDuel Sportsbook, and roster percentages and scores are according to ESPN's fantasy platform. Assume that the listed order is the preferred order.

Once again I was two for three. The counter-intuitive Miami Dolphins and New York Giants plays worked out splendidly, with double-digits points each. The Tennessee Titans play worked out noticeably worse, going into the negative with Deshaun Watson breaking out for his best game in 2020.

I'll try to avoid the landmines this week.

Kansas City Chiefs

at Denver Broncos
Spread: Chiefs -9.5
Implied Points Allowed: Not Yet Listed
Roster Percentage: 38%

Armed with the league's best passer, and thus always in line for positive game script, the Kansas City Chiefs get a relatively cushy matchup with the Denver Broncos in Week 7. While Drew Lock doesn't take a ton of sacks, he does throw a fair amount of interceptions. That should spell good things in a game where he'll have to throw a lot.

Also worth noting that the Chiefs have been better than advertised on defense. With the league's 7th-best pressure rate, they are a top-10 unit in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play, numberFire's metric for schedule-adjusted defense. Not to mention you'll get them in Week 8 as well when they host the New York Jets.

Philadelphia Eagles

vs New York Giants
Spread: Eagles -4
Implied Points Allowed: 20.25
Roster Percentage: 14%

As much as the Philadelphia Eagles love to disappoint, you have to play them as they take on the Giants, even if they're pretty banged up. The Eagles aren't a great overall unit, but they are 10th in pressure rate, and Daniel Jones will help them out with his propensity for taking sacks.

Most teams playing the Giants are at least worth a look in streaming, and the Eagles aren't yet bad enough to be an exception.

Los Angeles Chargers

vs Jacksonville Jaguars
Spread: Chargers -7.5
Implied Points Allowed: 21
Roster Percentage: 19%

The Los Angeles Chargers are 6th in Adjusted NEP allowed per play and 15th in pressure rate. They're also touchdown-plus favorites against a Jacksonville Jaguars team that made the Detroit Lions look like a quality unit last week. Gardner Minshew is both taking sacks and throwing interceptions at a decent rate this season and will have plenty of chances to continue doing both against the Chargers in Week 7.
