3 Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Options for Week 15

Quarterback streaming isn't for everyone, but if you're in a standard league -- like a 10- or 12-team league that features just one starting signal caller -- grabbing productive quarterbacks who have good matchups off the waiver wire is often doable.

Sure, you won't have the luxury of setting it and forgetting it with Deshaun Watson as your quarterback, but when the top-end signal callers draw a tough matchup, their upside can oftentimes be matched by a waiver-wire option in a more favorable situation.

In Week 14, Ryan Fitzpatrick totaled 14.30 fantasy points against the New York Jets despite not scoring a touchdown, checking in as QB19 for the week. For the season, we've had a QB1 (top-12) outing in eight of 14 weeks, and our per-week average of 15.5 fantasy points is good for the season-long QB16 in points per game among signal callers who have made at least 10 starts.

If you're looking for some quarterback options from the waiver wire -- regardless of league size -- we have you covered. Here are three quarterbacks owned in fewer than roughly 30% of Yahoo! leagues who are in good spots this week.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Dolphins

Yahoo Ownership: 23%

Fitzpatrick didn't deliver a big game for us last week, but he played decently well in a good matchup against the Jets. His 14.30-point total looks a lot better when you take into account that he didn't find the end zone, getting a boost from his legs as he ran for 65 yards, the most of any quarterback in Week 14.

This week, he gets another soft matchup, heading back to New York to face the Giants. The G-Men are giving up the seventh-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (20.3) and the fifth-most to wideouts (26.7), so, yeah, this a good spot for Fitz.

Fitzmagic's outlook would take a hit if DeVante Parker, who exited early last week with a concussion, is unable to play. As it stands, we have Fitzpatrick projected for 17.32 fantasy points, making him our QB12. He's the clear-cut top streaming option for Week 15.

Eli Manning, Giants

Yahoo Ownership: 3%

Outside of Fitzpatrick, there aren't many good choices this week among passers owned in fewer than 30% of leagues. It's so thin that Eli Manning needs to be on the radar for desperate streamers.

The big draw here is the matchup with the Miami Dolphins. While Miami has been better over the second half of the campaign, they're still surrendering the fourth-most fantasy points per game to both quarterbacks and receivers. Our schedule-adjusted metrics have them as the worst overall defense, as well as the worst pass D.

Manning gave a good account of himself on Monday against a struggling Philadelphia Eagles defense, throwing for 203 yards and two scores on his way to 16.02 fantasy points. He should have another respectable outing this week, and we forecast him for 16.73 points, ranking Eli as this week's QB15.

Kyle Allen, Panthers

Yahoo Ownership: 19%

Kyle Allen gets a home date with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Since a 5.70-point dud at home versus the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11, Allen has ripped off fantasy outputs of 23.14, 23.32, and 18.12 over his past three. He's seeing big-time passing volume, attempting 41, 46, 36, 50 and 43 passes in his past five. As a 5.50-point home 'dog, he should be going to the air early and often once again this week.

Seattle's defense rates out fairly average across the board, per our numbers, and we project Allen for 15.23 points this week, which checks in as the QB24. He's in play in deep leagues and/or two-quarterback formats.
