4 DraftKings Studs to Target in Week 7

Week 7 is here, so let's see which high-priced studs stand out on DraftKings and project to be high-end performers according to our models.

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons

DraftKings Price: $6,300

Projected Points: 24.3

Matt Ryan was on this list last week and came through with the most points at the position in Week 6. Somehow, Ryan's price still fell $100 from last week. Ryan had his sixth consecutive game surpassing the 300 passing yard mark which is a 3 point bonus on DraftKings. He is now averaging the second-most points per game at the quarterback position.

Ryan gets another enticing matchup in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams have been a bottom-15 defense against the pass this season according to our power rankings, which adjust for strength of the opponent. Jalen Ramsey could help change that, but Ryan still has massive upside in a game with the highest over/under of the week. Our projections have Ryan with the most passing attempts and completions for the week. You can fire up the Atlanta Falcons Quarterback with confidence in Week 7.

Leonard Fournette, Jacksonville Jaguars

DraftKings Price: $6,700

Projected Points: 19.7

With Christian McCaffrey on bye in Week 7, Leonard Fournette is the player most likely to lead the league in touches. Fournette is averaging a whopping 23.5 per game, good for the second-most in the league. The third-year back continues to have his best season as a receiver, with a 17.8% team target share so far this season. Fournette's volume gives him one of the safest floors in fantasy football. He has topped 11.4 DraftKings points every game so far this season.

The matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals also bodes well for Fournette in Week 7. The Bengals rank bottom-10 in the league against running backs according to our power rankings and they have let up a league-high 185 rushing yards per game so far this season. Last week, the Baltimore Ravens compiled an insane 269 yards on the ground against this weak defense. Our projections have Fournette with the most rushing yards and second-most receiving yards this week. Fournette is a great stud to build around in Week 7.

DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans

DraftKings Price: $7,800

Projected Points: 18.0

DeAndre Hopkins has had a strange season. Despite averaging the sixth most targets in the league, Hopkins has not finished as a top-12 wide receiver since Week 1. Hopkins has a great chance to end that streak in Week 7 in a date with the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts defense has been average against the pass so far this season according to our power rankings, but have let up some big performances to opponent's top receivers. Julio Jones and Keenan Allen both had over 120 receiving yards and a touchdown against this defense earlier this season. That type of performance is certainly within the range of outcomes for Hopkins this week.

Hopkins is one of the highest upside options at Wide Receiver this week, but you will have to pay up to get him in your lineup. Our models think it is worth it, with Hopkins projected for the most points at the position in Week 7 while DraftKings has him priced as the third most expensive receiver. And we have not even mentioned how Hopkins is primed for some positive touchdown regression. Hopkins is a stud worth making room for in Week 7.

Evan Engram, New York Giants

DraftKings Price: $6,500

Projected Points: 15.5

The second-year tight end for the New York Giants is in a dream matchup with the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 7. The Cardinals' defense has been abysmal against tight ends, letting up the most points to the position so far this season. Through six weeks, five different tight ends have finished with at least 18.5 DraftKings points against this weak secondary. Evan Engram was out with an injury last week, but has scored at least 10.5 points in 80% of his games so far this season. That appears to be his floor in Week 7.

This game has the second-highest over/under of the week, which gives Engram a great ceiling, too. Our projections here at numberFire have Engram with the most points of any tight end this week. With one of the highest floors and ceilings at the position, Engram is a stud to build around this week in cash games and tournaments.
