4 NFL FanDuel Value Plays to Target in Week 7

Identifying key value plays are of paramount importance when it comes to daily fantasy football. Luckily for you, our NFL projections are ready to roll, and our value category is brimming with potential slate-winning targets. If you're needing a salary saving option, consider plugging in one of these options into your lineup.

Kyler Murray, QB, Arizona Cardinals ($7,700)

The rookie has been very good for Daily Fantasy purposes this season. In fact, he has been downright fantastic and continues to be a value option on FanDuel. He has scored no less than 16.36 points this season and due to his increased running volume, his scoring ceiling has been much higher lately. This is evidenced by the 25.42 and 28.80 FanDuel points in his last two games.

The beauty of Kyler Murray as a fantasy option is that he will not only throw the ball a ton (32 or more pass attempts in all six games), but he will run the football and have a higher scoring floor and ceiling. This is why I don't put too much stock into the Arizona Cardinals being a 3.0 point underdog with just a 23.25 point implied team total.

The New York Giants are not a scary defense and Murray has shown that even when his team gets handed a big "L" that he will score regardless of the competitiveness of the actual contest. While he happens to be the 7th highest priced quarterback out of the dozen or so start worthy options, I believe he has the ceiling to win a tournament in Week 7 and belongs in this category until his price tag is elevated.

Derrick Henry, RB, Tennessee Titans ($6,500)

While the Tennessee Titans are currently 2.0 point favorites as they host the visiting Los Angeles Chargers, their implied team total sits at a weak 21.00 point implied team total. Yuck! Vegas has set the line as if they do not envision this game being high-scoring and likely will see a lack of touchdowns.

Here is the thing about the current line; I don't care! Derrick Henry does not need the Titans to score a billion points in order for him to be an incredible value option. All Henry needs is the offense to move the ball into the Chargers red-zone a few times and Derrick will take care of the rest due to his touchdown equity. He has scored 12 touchdowns in the last 11 games!

While it's truly not that simple, it really might not be too much harder than that. Dating back to December 2nd, 2018, a full 11-games ago (tracking the 12 touchdowns), Henry had scored double-digit FanDuel points, including three games with tournament winning upside scores of 47.80, 29.74, and 28.40 points. Shockingly, he had done this even while the Titans had scored 17 or fewer points in 6 of those contests. He clearly does not need the offense to go nuts for him to be a solid play.

Calvin Ridley, WR, Atlanta Falcons ($5,500)

Currently, the Atlanta Falcons are 3.0 point underdogs in their own stadium as the Los Angeles Rams are coming to town. This could be a pretty fantastic game to target for fantasy purposes. Both sides are loaded with options to put together solid game stacks. This is evidenced by the massive 53.5 points over/under line for this game (highest on the main slate by a full 3.0 points!).

Similar to Derrick Henry, Calvin Ridley has been extremely consistent as he continues to learn how to play wide receiver at the NFL level. Over his last 8-games, Ridley has scored 11.70 or more FanDuel points in 6 of the contests. He has racked up six touchdowns in those eight games as well.

While Julio Jones likely will draw the attention and focus of Jalen Ramsey (if his back is healthy) and the Rams secondary, this means that players like Austin Hooper and Ridley will have more opportunity to succeed with potentially more targets coming their way. Ridley has proven to be a fantastic touchdown scoring machine and if he garners a few more opportunities through the air in Week 7, he'll be a superb play at just $5,500.

Hunter Henry, TE, Los Angeles Chargers ($5,700)

What a return to football it was for Hunter Henry in Week 6. He played a ton of snaps for his first game back since Week 1, too. Out of the 62 snaps for the San Diego Chargers offense, Hunter was on the field for 41 of them. He played 67% of the snaps! He looked healthy, fast, strong, and above all else, he looked like a playmaker.

Hunter finished the game with 8 receptions for 100 yards receiving and hauled in 2 touchdowns. He was the first read in the red-zone for Philip Rivers, too. This was highlighted by the fact that out of his nine targets, three of them were inside the red-zone. This means that he has solid touchdown equity when the team gets close to scoring range.

Tight end is a volatile position and when we have the opportunity to plug in a guy that could get upwards of 8-10 targets and receive multiple red-zone looks if all goes well, we have to jump on that and not get cute. His $5,700 price tag makes things even easier.
