4 NFL FanDuel Value Plays to Target in Week 4

Marquise Brown is a fantastic value for tournaments in Week 4. Who else is worth a look on FanDuel?

Identifying key value plays are of paramount importance when it comes to daily fantasy football. Luckily for you, our NFL projections are ready to roll, and our value category is brimming with potential slate-winning targets. If you're needing a salary saving option, consider plugging in one of these options into your lineup.

Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions ($6,900)

The Detroit Lions are hosting the juggernaut offense of the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. Currently, the Lions are 6.5-point home underdogs with a 23.5 point implied team total. While this isn't necessarily a good trend to have and is not entirely indicative of a player that is about to have a good outing, there is silver lining for sure.

The Chiefs' offense continues to score at will this season just as they did in 2018. If and when Kansas City goes nuts and scores long touchdowns in a hurry, the Lions will be forced to throw the football and play from behind. This often leads to a whole lot of passing from the losing team. This is where Matthew Stafford comes into play. He can heat up in a hurry when he is asked to pass the ball a ton. We have him projected to attempt 35.95 passes in this game and that might be his floor.

He is a great tournament option at just $6,900 and provides you with the opportunity to stack with some of the Lions' weapons and the Chiefs' players, too, in a larger game stack approach. I would look to pair Stafford with Kenny Golladay ($6,700) and one or two Chiefs.

Wayne Gallman, New York Giants ($5,800)

With Saquon Barkley set to miss the next month or two of football, Wayne Gallman appears to be the front runner for the lead running back duties of the New York Giants. Currently, New York is a 3.0-point favorite at home with a healthy implied team total of 26.00 points. This is a solid projected game script for Gallman.

With the Giants potentially playing with a lead in this game, Wayne could have the opportunity to rack up plenty of touches. He's always been a bit of a pass-catching back, but if Vegas is correct and the Giants are going to control this game, then Gallman will also get plenty of carries. Opportunity equates to points and at just $5,800, there is plenty of upside here.

There is also the potential for Case Keenum and the Washington Redskins offense to be turnover prone once again, meaning the Giants could get the ball on a short field and receive a few more scoring chances. If you need some salary relief in Week 4, Gallman has plenty of upside at his price point.

Marquise Brown, WR, Baltimore Ravens ($5,700)

Don't look now but the Baltimore Ravens are playing some very fast-paced football. They have run 77, 79, and 83 snaps in their first three games this season. As Lamar Jackson continues to improve as a passer, the receiving options for the Ravens suddenly have become important in daily fantasy.

Enter Marquise Brown. In the first week of the season, he was used as nothing more than a situational deep threat. He played just 14-of-77 snaps but had 4 receptions for 147 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. In the second week, the coaching staff tried to get him more involved and allowed him to play on 51-of-79 snaps. He garnered 13 targets from Jackson in that game and finished with 8 receptions for 86 yards receiving. In the Week 3 showdown with the Chiefs, Brown played 62-of-83 snaps and drew 9 targets in the passing game. Unfortunately, he only had 2 receptions for 49 yards receiving.

Regardless of the production in the last game, he still drew nine targets, and his snaps increased once again. There is plenty of upside here for Marquise at this price point, as he looks like more than just a deep threat at this point. Plug him in while his price tag stays low.

Will Dissly, TE, Seattle Seahawks ($5,400)

Teams that have faced the Arizona Cardinals have played a ton of snaps this season due to the incredibly fast-paced offense that they run. In Week 4, the Seattle Seahawks get a chance to see an increase in snaps, which means a potential increase in fantasy points.

The Cardinals have also been wretched against tight ends this season. They have allowed Greg Olsen (6-75-2), Mark Andrews (8-112-1), and T.J. Hockenson (6-131-1) to have incredible games. This highlights the tremendous upside for Will Dissly.

Dissly has been pretty good the last couple of games, too. While he has played just 47-of-79 and 46-of-84 snaps in the last two games, he has scored 19.50 and 15.20 FanDuel points in the two contests. Most importantly, he has garnered three red-zone targets in those games and hauled in all three for touchdowns. With Chris Carson struggling, Dissly and Russell Wilson will have the potential to continue to build upon their chemistry in Week 4.
