Let’s touch on some players who stand out for this week's FanDuel main slate.

Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes ($9,200) - No Hill no problem, Mahomes paced all quarterbacks last week in both passing yardage and passing touchdowns. Mahomes tops all quarterbacks in our passing NEP (Net Expected Points) metric so far this season. Now in Week 3, the Kansas City Chiefs are in the highest game total (55) and own the third-highest implied team total (31) at home against the Baltimore Ravens. With Mahomes as the starter, 77% of Kansas City’s touchdowns have come through the air, and that should only continue with two running backs banged up. While matchups don’t matter for Mahomes, it is noteworthy that Baltimore allowed Kyler Murray to throw for 349 yards last week, and that they play at the fastest pace in the league averaging 72.5 plays per game. Our projections have Mahomes leading all quarterbacks in FanDuel points this week.

Josh Allen ($7,500) - Allen has been on fire over his last eight games dating back to last season, averaging 24.1 FanDuel points per game. Over those eight games, he has accounted for 63.6% of the Buffalo Bills rushing touchdowns, including one in each of this year's first two games. Now he gets to square off against the Cincinnati Bengals who have allowed five passing touchdowns over the first two games. The game could sneakily be played at a high pace as both teams have averaged more than 65 plays per game. Allen comes in as numberFire’s third-best quarterback value.
