FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 16

As a big home favorite against the Bengals, Nick Chubb is in line for a strong outing in Week 16. Which other players should you zero in on?

Much like Week 15, we're not exactly rolling in the high game totals this week, with only the Steelers-Saints game exceeding 47.0 points on the main slate at 53.5. While there are still plenty of matchups to exploit, we could see another lower scoring week overall with little in the way of shootouts.

We'll dig into that and more in our weekly FanDuel primer, where we give you an overview of the Sunday main slate to help you get started on your research. As always, we recommend checking out all of numberFire's premium tools at your disposal. In particular, the heat map is a great way to get a general overview of the slate's implied totals, and every team's strengths and weaknesses. You also have access to numberFire's weekly projections, which can assist you in nailing down who might be the slate's top scorers and best values.

Be sure to also pay attention to inactives prior to Sunday's games, which can often completely change the makeup of a given slate. After all, injuries can have a huge impact on playing time, where an otherwise low-priced backup can suddenly find his way into a feature role and become an excellent play.

Now, let's run through some of this week's top plays on the FanDuel main slate.

Quarterbacks

Drew Brees ($8,400 on FanDuel): Drew Brees has underwhelmed in three straight road starts, but he now returns home to the Superdome where he's averaging 9.8 yards per pass attempt compared to just 6.9 in away games. Additionally, 20 of his 31 passing touchdown have come in his six home games. The Steelers aren't pushovers on defense, but they also aren't a matchup we need to shy away from, ranking in the middle at 14th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. With far and away the highest total on the board (53.5), this is the lone game on paper that we can reasonably expect a shootout from, and it's a prime spot for Brees to bounce back.
