FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 14
Aaron Rodgers is coming off a pair of underwhelming performances, but will he bounce back against the Falcons in Week 14?

The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tend to be involved in high game totals more often than not, and Week 14 is no exception as the two teams face off in Tampa Bay with a slate-high 56.0 points. Meanwhile, some of the usual suspects in the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Green Bay Packers check in as highly-favored squads with enticing implied totals, so there will certainly be no shortage of choices this week in DFS.

We'll dig into that and more in our weekly FanDuel primer, where we give you an overview of the Sunday main slate to help you get started on your research. As always, we recommend checking out all of numberFire's premium tools at your disposal. In particular, the heat map is a great way to get a general overview of the slate's implied totals, and every team's strengths and weaknesses. You also have access to numberFire's weekly projections, which can assist you in nailing down who might be the slate's top scorers and best values.

Be sure to also pay attention to inactives prior to Sunday's games, which can often completely change the makeup of a given slate. After all, injuries can have a huge impact on playing time, where an otherwise low-priced backup can suddenly find his way into a feature role and become an excellent play.

Now, let's run through some of this week's top plays on the FanDuel main slate.

Quarterbacks

Drew Brees ($8,500 on FanDuel): Another week, another opportunity to start a quarterback against the Buccaneers' woeful defense. Tampa Bay ranks 29th in both Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play and FanDuel points allowed per game to quarterbacks. It doesn't take much convincing to use Drew Brees in a matchup like this, and in a game with the slate's highest over/under (56.0), it's no surprise to see Brees projected as numberFire's highest-scoring quarterback. Better yet, coming off a down game against the Dallas Cowboys, this isn't an outrageous price for his services behind both Patrick Mahomes ($9,300) and Ben Roethlisberger ($8,600).
