Going for Two: When is it Acceptable?

The Chargers were down by nine with 11 minutes to go on Sunday. Should they have gone for two?

In the Broncos and Chargers game on Sunday, Phil Simms and Jim Nantz questioned "The Book", which stated that the Chargers should opt to go for two with 11 minutes to go, down by nine. The guys in the booth were angry that this book would even suggest you don't kick the PAT, stating that the fictitious piece of literature should be burned. In fact, Nantz even said, "Who in the world would go for two?"
