FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Helper: The Thanksgiving Slate

If you've never played daily fantasy football on FanDuel before, it's time to start. Unlike traditional leagues, you're able to select the players you want on that specific day only, giving you a different squad to root for each and every week.

Here at numberFire we offer great tools for premium members. The analysis below is meant to help you understand why some of these players are top picks in our tools and projections because we don't want you going into the weekend completely blind. We want to help you. Keep in mind, however, that things can change drastically if an injury is announced, so make sure you're double checking the tools and projections as close as possible to kickoff.

This is for the Thursday-only slate, which features three games.

Let's get to it!

Quarterbacks

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys ($8,000)

With Andrew Luck highly unlikely to play, many will look to Ben Roethlisberger as the top option at quarterback. However, given Roethlisberger's continued struggles on the road, let's take a look at Dak Prescott, who comes in at a $500 discount off Big Ben.

Dak has been uber-efficient all season, ranking second in Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back (0.38) among quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs. Volume has been the only thing holding Dak back from becoming a truly elite fantasy asset (just two games with over 30 pass attempts through the first six weeks), but the Dallas Cowboys have unleashed their stud rookie over the past four games, allowing him to average 33.5 passing attempts, which has resulted in a 24.1 FanDuel point average.

Prescott will face a Washington defense that allowed Aaron Rodgers and Sam Bradford to combine for 658 passing yards and 5 touchdowns against them over the past two weeks. Washington is also traveling over 1,000 miles on short rest from their Sunday night game in Washington D.C. to play an afternoon game in Dallas, which offers some insight into why Prescott's Cowboys are the owners of a slate-high 29.25-point implied team total.
