Fantasy Football 2016 Rookie Mock Draft: Round 1
The numberFire crew decided to complete a rookie mock draft. Did everything go according to plan?

1.02: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Minnesota Vikings

Drafter Comments

"To me, any of three wide receivers can be selected here, and it probably comes down to the owner’s roster construction and their need for an immediate impact.

While some were displeased with Treadwell’s landing spot, there's a decent path to rookie targets given the weapons in Minnesota's offense. I love his talent/size combination, and I think he can be an immediate red-zone threat. I'm banking on Teddy Bridgewater developing into a higher volume passer, which is certainly feasible, but not a lock at all." -- Jason Green

Other Comments

"What to do with this pick will be the dynasty debate of the offseason." -- Austan Kas

"I personally believe that Treadwell is the top wideout of this year's draft class. While Bridgewater isn't the greatest quarterback for fantasy purposes, Treadwell's ability to go up and get it should help Bridgewater out, and Treadwell fits perfectly in Minnesota's offense complementing the speed and ability to stretch the field that Stefon Diggs brings." -- Zach

"Treadwell's quick release off the line and physical nature should help him immediately see starter's snaps and pile up yards after the catch. Will have to wait until Adrian Peterson's decline to see what true ceiling, we can expect with Treadwell and Bridgewater." -Tyler Buecher
