David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Net Expected Points: 17.15
Rating: 100

Heading into Week 15, there was really no doubt who the best workhorse back was in the Arizona Cardinals' backfield. According to our Net Expected Points metric, David Johnson was the man with a Rushing NEP per rush of 0.04, which was nearly 0.10 points better than the now-injured Chris Johnson. In other words, with every rush from Johnson this season, the Cardinals were adding roughly 0.10 more points than when CJ1K was touching the rock.

That average got a huge boost on Sunday night, as David Johnson lit up the Eagles for a 17.15 Net Expected Points total, getting 13.24 of those points on the ground. Just how impressive is that 13.24 number? Well, since rushing is far less efficient and effective than passing, it's tough, as a lead rusher, to capture a number even above zero. And only three NFL running backs this season have topped 13.24 Rushing Net Expected Points.

Clearly we'll see some regression, but make no mistake -- David Johnson is for real.
