Carson Palmer's career-best season continued in Week 14 with his impressive 310-yard, 2-touchdown performance against the Vikings' average, 16th-ranked pass defense, according to our Net Expected Points (NEP) metrics. He now has nine games this season with more than 300 passing yards.

And this weekend, Palmer gets to square off against the 11th-ranked pass defense in the Philadelphia Eagles. While the Eagles' schedule-adjusted pass defense ranking might not be too bad, don't let it scare you off Palmer in the slightest. Why? Because the Eagles, per Football Outsiders, run a play every 22.22 seconds, which is far and above the fastest offensive pace of any team in the NFL.

This is important because, no matter how good they were offensively, the Eagles' pace of play should provide the Cardinals with plenty of offensive opportunities. But the Eagles also happen to be pretty ineffective offense, ranking as the 27th-best offense in the league, per our numbers. So even though they like to move fast when they have the ball, they manage to give up the ball pretty fast too. That should be an even more frequent occurrence when they're squaring up against the Cardinals’ 7th-ranked defense.

With the second-highest over/under of the weekend (50.5 points), and an implied point total of 27 points, look for Palmer to get ample opportunities to keep padding the stats like he's been doing all season. As such, Palmer makes for a great cash game quarterback in Week 15.
