Fantasy Football: 7 Players to Avoid in Week 11
Which players are most likely to fall short of expectations in Week 11?

Doug Martin, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Philadelphia Eagles are six-point home favorites and have had one of the best, yet unheralded, defenses in the NFL this season. They have the 10th-best run defense thus far, with -0.03 Adjusted Defensive Rush NEP per play.

Doug Martin seems to have cooled down from his three monster games against Carolina, Jacksonville, and Washington in Weeks 4, 5, and 7. His per-carry averages from his last three games are 3.1, 2.8, and 3.5, and despite the storyline of a comeback year, he has not performed well with our metrics.

Among the 38 running backs with at least 75 carries, Martin stands 34th in Rushing NEP (-12.01) and 29th in Rushing NEP per carry (-0.07). For some context, both of those figures are worse than Eddie Lacy’s.

Our projections expect Martin, our 16th-ranked running back, for 14.76 carries, 57.47 rushing yards, and 0.29 rushing touchdowns.
