Allen Hurns, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

In an overtime loss to the Colts this Sunday Allen Hurns did everything he could to put the Jaguars in a position to upset the Andrew Luck-less Colts.

Catching 11 of his team-leading 15 targets, with Vontae Davis shadowing the more highly touted Allen Robinson, Hurns burned the Colts secondary for a career-high 116 yards and one touchdown on his way to a 10.78 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) mark, according to our numerFire Live initial tally. For those unfamiliar, NEP is our signature metric here at numberFire. If you contribute to your team's chances of scoring above expectation you receive a positive NEP, and a negative score when you do the opposite.

Always a threat to score on the deep ball with his 4.55 40-speed, Hurns is now getting the usage necessary to be a fantasy asset, as he actually scored his touchdown grab on an 8-yard red zone look in the second quarter.

This performance follows a nice start to the season in which Hurns recorded at least 60 receiving yards in each of the first three games of the year, and he's now recorded a touchdown in back-to-back games.

With Robinson drawing the opposition's top corner each and every game, and with Hurns garnering plenty of attention from sophomore quarterback Blake Bortles (he now has 30 targets over the first quarter of the season), Hurns makes a nice add as a potential WR3 for your fantasy football squad.
