8 Players You Shouldn't Trust in Week 12
Though Ryan Mathews is back and healthy, he doesn't bring much hope to Week 12.

Drew Stanton, QB, Arizona Cardinals

Maybe Drew Stanton isn't a super big-name guy, but he was serviceable for the Cardinals in a few stints earlier this year when Carson Palmer injured himself (surprise, surprise). Now Stanton takes the reins in the desert again, as Palmer has torn his ACL in what is certainly a season-ending injury. In Week 11, Stanton put up a solid 16 fantasy points, which is actually somewhat impressive considering that it came against the league-leading team in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP), the Detroit Lions. Still, I doubt he repeats even last week's performance in Week 12.

Head coach Bruce Arians will ask Stanton to keep airing it out, but this Seattle pass defense is allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Despite its current 23rd rank in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP, this is still a ballhawking secondary that has limited quarterbacks to less than 12 fantasy points each of the last four weeks. The last time a team passed for 300 or more yards on the Seahawks was in Week 3, against Peyton Manning.

Drew Stanton is no Peyton Manning. Bench him against this tough matchup at Seattle.
