5 Things I Learned From Week 11 of the NFL Season
It's not all Jay Cutler's fault.
While there's plenty of warranted talk surrounding the Bears trading their big-name quarterback, let's not forget a key reason for Chicago's struggles this season: defense.
Entering Week 11, Chicago's defense ranked 31st in the league according to our metrics - only Atlanta's been worse. And while many want to point out that this is due to facing tough competition over a two-game stretch where the team surrendered 106 points (after all, they faced Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady), these numbers are adjusted for strength of opponent. So don't get it twisted - Chicago's defense is just as, if not more, responsible for the team's struggles this year as Cutler's offense is.
But on Sunday, both units were back to playing the way they should being playing.
