6 Big-Name Players You May Want to Avoid in Week 9
Philip Rivers has been a stud this year, but Week 9 could give him some problems.

Jordan Reed, TE, Washington Redskins

I'm a big fan of Jordan Reed, and think the return of Robert Griffin III is only a good thing for his season-long value. But this week, he may not be as locked-in as he has since returning from injury a few weeks ago.

Owners love Reed in PPR formats, as he's seeing eight targets per game since his return. As a result, Reed's ranked 6th, 14th and 11th at the tight end position over the last three weeks in PPR leagues, catching 8, 5 and 7 passes.

His matchup in Week 9 is against Minnesota though, a team that ranks fifth against the pass, per NEP, and one that's been strong against opposing tight ends this season. While Reed's scored double-digit PPR points in all three of his games since his return, the Vikings have allowed just two of those performances this year, and have yet to surrender more than the six receptions Jimmy Graham saw in Week 3. And they've faced Rob Gronkowski, too.
