Jerricho Cotchery, WR, Carolina Panthers

Jerricho Cotchery has been going so late that his ADP isn't even listed on Fantasy Football Calculator's webiste, and according to MyFantasyLeague.com, his ADP has him as the 82nd receiver going off the board.

This is despite Cotchery being listed as a starting wide receiver alongside the more highly-drafted Kelvin Benjamin on the Panthers' current depth chart.

Our rankings have Cotchery as the 52nd-best receiver for this year, and when you look at the numbers, it’s easy to see why his projection is so much higher than his ADP. What Cotchery brings to the table is efficiency and touchdown potential that you wouldn't expect to see out of someone that can often be drafted in the final rounds.

Cotchery finished the 2013 season third among all players in Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target (minimum of 50 targets). For those unfamiliar, an explanation of NEP can be found here. A large part of this can be attributed to Cotchery’s skills as a receiving threat in the red zone. He finished tied for 10th in red zone receptions in 2013 with 13, turning in 10 red zone receiving touchdowns – good for second in the league.

The now-departed Brandon LaFell, Steve Smith and Ted Ginn Jr. combined for 53.4% of the Panther’s red zone targets last year, leaving room for Cotchery to thrive even if Kelvin Benjamin establishes himself as Cam Newton’s favorite target near the scoring territory.
