Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints

DraftKings Price: $5,900

Projected Points: 21.17

Projected Value (points per $1,000): 3.59

Mid-week forecasts currently has the Kansas City--New England game with expected freezing temperatures at the start of kickoff. Although weather forecast can change, it probably won’t stray far from the current temperature. Freezing temperatures can certainly affect the passing game. By process of elimination, Drew Brees could end up being the chalk quarterback with the New Orleans Saints playing in a dome environment.

Not only does Brees benefit from playing indoors, the Los Angeles Rams are probably the worst passing defense on this slate. Brees went up against this defense in Week 9 and torched them, posting a game line of 25 for 36, 346 yards, and 4 touchdowns.

As is commonly known, Brees has been better in the Mercedes Superdome this season. In road games , Brees has averaged 17.0 DraftKings point per game, but he is averaging 27.4 DraftKings points per game in New Orleans. His lowest fantasy output for any home game has been 16.3.

The Saints' quarterback is also very stackable, and his targets are obvious, with Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara leading the way. But another Saint who can be thrown into that mix is Ted Ginn Jr.. (More on him in a second.)

Brees has a safe floor but also carries upside to be the top-scoring passer on the slate, especially if the cold weather hampers both passing games in the AFC matchup.
