Quarterback

Chalk

Drew Brees ($8,400) and Ben Roethlisberger ($8,700) figure to get some attention in the game with highest total of the slate (53.0), but there are also some interesting options in the mid-tier where there are some very reasonably priced options available to roster.

Josh Allen ($7,700) could see some ownership this week. He's posted 19-plus FanDuel points in four consecutive weeks, and takes aim at a New England Patriots defense that ranks 19th, per our metrics. As 13.5-point underdogs to New England, Allen is likely to have the ball in his hands quite a bit, making him a solid play.

For a few more bucks, Andrew Luck at $8,200 is also worth a look. The Indianapolis Colts continue to pass at a very high rate, ranking ninth in pass-to-run ratio (1.62 passes per run) and leading the league in situation-neutral pace. Against a New York Giants team that ranks only 20th against the pass, Luck could be a popular choice.

At an even $8,000, Deshaun Watson may be popular, too -- he faces a Philadelphia Eagles defense that ranks only 19th against the pass and allowed 455 passing yards and 3 touchdowns to Dak Prescott just a few weeks ago.

Pivot

Mitchell Trubisky, Chicago Bears: $7,900 (at San Francisco 49ers)

With a combined 500 passing yards in his last 3 games, including 5 interceptions, can we trust Mitchell Trubisky on the road against the San Francisco 49ers?

Absolutely. San Francisco ranks 27th against the pass per our rankings, and they have been ripped up in the passing game lately, allowing big days to Eli Manning (3 touchdown passes), Jameis Winston (312 passing yards, 2 touchdowns), and Russell Wilson (4 touchdown passes).

Couple that with a solid rushing defense that ranks 12th against the ground attack, and the Bears may turn things over to Trubisky and the passing game. Trubisky is likely to see lower ownership rates with only a 23.25 implied team total, but fear not -- we have the Bears' second-year man pegged for 21.0 FanDuel points with a tournament ceiling of 35.73 FanDuel points, or 4.51-times value per $1,000. With that kind of potential return on investment, check out Trubisky at your quarterback slot.
