Overall, 2018 has been a down year for the once-dominant Jacksonville Jaguars' defense. However, they have, at times, shown they can still bring it -- showcased by their shutout of the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13. If they can hold down Andrew Luck and the Colts, Sunday’s matchup against Josh Johnson and Washington should justify their high-price tag.

The 32-year-old Johnson attempted his first NFL pass in seven seasons in Week 14 as he replaced the terrible Mark Sanchez under center for Washington. Johnson had been with the team for less than a week before being thrust into action. He showed well in mop-up time, going 11 for 16 for 195 yards, a touchdown, and a pick.

Those numbers seem solid, but they are skewed since Johnson stepped into the game against the New York Giants with the score already 40-0. Getting the call from the start this week, Johnson -- the owner of a career 55.4% completion percentage and 5.7% interception rate -- is in trouble against a top-five ranked pass defense, per our schedule-adjusted metrics.

The Jaguars have allowed the second-fewest passing yards per game (204.0) and the least amount of touchdown passes (15) this season. Over their last four games, they are forcing 1.5 turnovers per game and face a team turning it over 2.3 times since Week 11.

Washington and their league-low implied total (14.3) this week have the Jags as our highest-project D/ST of Week 15.
