Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

If you pay any attention to professional football, there's no way you made it through the weekend without hearing about the events surrounding Kareem Hunt. When video evidence of Hunt's assault was released on Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs promptly cut the young running back, sending him to waivers. Roger Goodell placed Hunt on the Commissioner's Exempt list as well, meaning that even if another team decided to add him he would be ineligible to play or practice. On top of that, once the facts of the case have been properly assessed, Hunt is likely facing a hefty suspension.

Yesterday, Hunt went unclaimed on waivers. That means no teams were willing to take a chance on the back, and that means neither should you. If you held onto Hunt over the weekend, you were probably hoping that another team would sign him and that you could play him for a couple games until an official punishment came down.

But now that it's clear no team wants Hunt right now, we as fantasy managers can safely drop the once-promising back. Losing a running back is never good for your fantasy team, but fortunately this week there are a few solid options available on your waiver wires. If you're hurting for a back, check out this week's waiver wire column for some help.
