NFL
7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 12
Antonio Callaway and the Browns' offense have heated up since switching coaches and face a soft Bengals D on Sunday. What other little-owned options are worth a play in Week 12?

Nick Mullens, QB, San Francisco 49ers

Yahoo! Ownership: 12%

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens has made two career starts, one good, one meh. After going off for 262 yards and 3 touchdowns against a soft Oakland Raiders secondary, Mullens showed his inexperience, tossing 2 picks against the New York Giants two weeks ago. After a Week 11 bye, the rookie quarterback has another round of practices under his belt and gets to face off with the NFL’s worst secondary this Sunday.

According to our schedule-adjusted metrics, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rank at the bottom of the league in pass defense. They have allowed the fifth-most yards (282.0 per game) as well as the most touchdowns (25) while picking off just 1 pass in 336 attempts this season. The lack of a pass rush -- Tampa ranks 18th or worse in sacks and QB hits -- has allowed for easy throws, as opposing quarterbacks are completing 74.7% of their passes, by far the best in the league. Overall, the Bucs give up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

With the Niners carrying a top-10 implied point total with the Bucs-49ers game holding the highest over/under (53.5) of the remaining games, Mullens is a solid play, especially for those Patrick Mahomes and Jared Goff owners this week.
