4 NFL FanDuel Studs to Target in Week 12

Sitting just two spots below the Colts among all teams on the main slate is the Los Angeles Chargers, with an implied total of 28.75 points. They also lead all teams as overwhelming 13.0-point favorites over the Arizona Cardinals. That will likely lead to the Chargers playing with the lead and leaning heavily on their rushing attack. Which is something our models agree with, as Melvin Gordon is projected for the second-most rushing attempts (17.4) of any player in Week 12. That number is certainly in line with what he has been doing, as Gordon has averaged 17.8 carries over the past five games.

He has also caught at least four passes in six games already this season, and has only been held under 18.0 FanDuel points once all year.

That puts him in play just about every week, and he gets a boost this time due to a soft matchup against the Cardinals, who are giving up the eight-most FanDuel points per game to opposing running backs this season.

The Cardinals have allowed at least one opposing running back to top 80 overall yards in all but two game this season. And one of those outlier performances came in a week when Todd Gurley found the endzone three times despite Miami keeping his yardage total in check.

With a soft matchup boosting his outlook, Gordon appears on track for another big performance in Week 12.
