Demaryius Thomas, WR, Houston Texans

Oh how the mighty have fallen. For years, Demaryius Thomas was a fantasy football king. He was among the top wideouts drafted each year in his prime, and even in recent years, with lackluster quarterback play, he still managed to produce meaningful fantasy stats. His production had been trending downward over the last three seasons, but with his recent trade to the Houston Texans it's finally time to part ways with the four-time Pro Bowler.

Thomas actually impressed in his Texans debut, hauling in all 3 of his targets for an efficient 61 yards. But that game came without the Texans' rookie wide receiver Keke Coutee, who -- when healthy -- had gobbled up targets from Deshaun Watson. Coutee was able to get healthy over the team's Week 10 bye, and when they finally saw the field again in Week 11 it became clear that Thomas is the odd man out in that passing attack.

DeAndre Hopkins is always going to get his share of targets. That stayed as true in Week 11 as it was in any of their previous nine games. But Coutee once again asserted himself as a leading option, drawing a team-high 9 targets and turning them into 5 receptions for 77 yards.

This didn't leave a lot of opportunity -- or any, really -- on the table for Thomas. DT failed to draw even a single target during the game despite playing more snaps than Coutee. Hopefully you weren't counting on him for your fantasy leagues this week, because that donut hole could seriously sink a week.

He probably won't totally bust like this again, but as long as Keke Coutee is healthy we can't really expect a whole lot from Thomas. Name value doesn't equate to fantasy production, and if you're trying to make a playoff push he isn't going to help you do it.
