Dallas Cowboys

Yahoo Ownership: 17%
numberFire Projected Rank: 3rd

The 5-5 Dallas Cowboys host the 6-4 Washington Redskins on Thursday in a matchup that has huge implications on the NFC East standings. These two teams last met in Week 7, a 20-17 Redskins win, but Washington enters Week 12 in a much different situation.

Their offensive line has been hit hard with injuries as they're down three starters, although Trent Williams may return this week. Most importantly, Colt McCoy will make his first start since 2014 after Alex Smith suffered a broken leg in the Redskins' Week 11 loss.

McCoy has played in four games over the last three seasons, but hasn't started a game since Week 14 in 2014. McCoy started five games that season and coincidentally, the only Redskins victory over that span came against the Cowboys.

This week, McCoy will be facing a Cowboys defense that ranks as the league's 12th-best per numberFire metrics. The Cowboys also rank top-10 in sacks (28) and top-5 in quarterback hits (65). Led by Demarcus Lawrence, the Cowboys pass rush should find success against a depleted offensive line and backup quarterback.

The Cowboys are 7.5-point home favorites in this matchup with the Redskins carrying an implied team total of just 16.5 points, third lowest on the week.
