3 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming Options for Week 12

The Dallas Cowboys host Colt McCoy and the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving Day. Which other defenses sitting on the waiver wire can you pick up and play in Week 12?

Week 11 was a rough week for our streaming picks. Our top option, the Arizona Cardinals, failed to slow down Derek Carr and finished a disappointing 18th in weekly fantasy scoring.

Elsewhere, the Carolina Panthers also finished outside the top-12 in weekly scoring, but the New York Giants came through with the sixth-best fantasy score on the week. As always, with the volatility of defensive scoring, you don't need to go out of the way to acquire the top pick of the week.

Even though the Cardinals scored just 4 points this week, our weekly top streaming pick is averaging 10.3 points per game. We've slipped a bit in recent weeks, but that is still the second-best per game average among all defenses this season, behind only the Chicago Bears (12.6 points per game).

Heading into Week 12, we're targeting one Thanksgiving Day game and two home teams facing struggling offenses on Sunday.

For any new readers to the column, every week we search the waiver wire to identify low-owned teams set up with a great matchup. The focus is on teams owned in about 50% or fewer of Yahoo fantasy leagues. Our goal is to identify teams poised to be a top-12 scorer (start-able in standard leagues) for that given week.

Here are three defenses you can pick up off the waiver wire and play in Week 12.
