Cam Newton disappointed FanDuel users last week by falling short of 200 passing yards for the first time since Week 3, throwing his first interception since Week 6 and posting his fewest rushing attempts (2) and lowest rushing yardage total (10 yards) of the season. But he did throw two touchdown passes for the eighth-straight game, saving his day from being a total bust.

His opponent this week, the Detroit Lions, are coming off of a week in which they allowed Mitchell Trubisky to steamroll them for 355 passing yards and three touchdowns, with another touchdown on the ground as well. That marked the third time in their past five games that they allowed the opposing quarterback to throw for three touchdowns.

With the Carolina Panthers currently tied for the third-highest implied total (26.75 points) of any team on the main slate in Week 11, Newton is certainly in a great spot to find the end zone multiple times. And with the Lions intercepting just three passes all season, we don't have to be overly concerned a bout a low floor for the Panther's signal caller.
