Matthew Stafford has had a down year by his standards, as he has eclipsed 20 FanDuel points on just twice through the Lions' first eight contests. The sledding doesn't get any easier this week, as Detroit travels to the Windy City to take on the vaunted Bears defense.

Stafford's struggles away from Ford Field have been well-chronicled throughout his career, and the oddsmakers have the Lions' offense projected for a meager 18.75 points, the fourth-lowest on the main slate. Chicago is top 10 in both pass yards allowed and total sacks, and they should feast on a Lions front that's allowed 23 sacks so far.

Following the departure of safety valve and long-time go-to Golden Tate, Stafford struggled last week to the tune of just 5.53 yards per attempt. It would appear likely that his inefficiency repeats itself this week, as Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay continue vie for Tate's targets. Wait for a better matchup to target Stafford, particularly one at home.
