Adrian Peterson, RB, Washington Redskins

FanDuel Price: $6,800

DraftKings Price: 5,700

Adrian Peterson was a popular play last week against a porous Atlanta Falcons' defense, but he (and the Redskins as a team) fell flat on his face despite a plus matchup.

Peterson is experiencing a career renaissance in the nation's capital this season, but last week served as an important reminder that AP can easily be scripted out if the Redskins fall behind early. Peterson was only on the field for 46% of snaps last week after Washington fell behind early, after being at or near 60% of the snaps in the previous few weeks.

This week AP has to face a Buccaneers defense that has been absolutely shredded by the pass but ranks in the middle-of-the-pack (15th) in terms of rushing yards allowed per game. Peterson's resurgence has been a nice story, but the reality is that he needs positive game flow to see volume and be effective in fantasy. If Ryan Fitzpatrick slings Tampa Bay to an early lead, we can expect Kapri Bibbs to soak up a ton of snaps at AP's expense.

To make matters worse, the Redskins may be without up to three of their starting offensive lineman for this one, after that unit was decimated in Week 9. Even if AP gets volume, he's not a guaranteed success. Avoid him in all formats this week.
