Nick Chubb's Touchdowns Are No Fluke

In three games since the departure of Carlos Hyde, Nick Chubb has stepped right into Hyde's role and dominated the backfield work available in Cleveland.

This has meant 18-plus carries in three straight games, as well as two touchdowns. Hyde founds the end zone five times in six games for the Browns this year, and Chubb stands to continue scoring regularly as well.

Over the first six weeks of the season, Hyde notched 17 carries and 1 target in the red zone, accounting for 45% of the Browns' red zone opportunities (targets plus rush attempts). On the entire season, only two other players have shares north of 45%.

True to form as a plug-and-play replacement for Hyde, in the three weeks since Hyde's departure, Chubb has accounted for 44% of the team's red zone opportunities, with 10 carries and 1 target.

The Browns' offense isn't one that's going to generate a ton of scoring, but seeing what extrapolates to a top-three red zone market share in his brief time as a starter, Chubb gets heavy enough volume that he offers big touchdown upside even when the Browns aren't scoring much.
