5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 9
Patrick Mahomes had his eighth straight 300-yard game. Which other stats do you need to know through nine weeks?

Patrick Mahomes Had His 8th Straight 300-Yard Game

Another Sunday, another great performance from Patrick Mahomes.

The Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback has played at an MVP level all season, and his performance against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday was no exception. Mahomes passed for 375 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Chiefs breezed past the Browns, 37-21. This tied the Chiefs' franchise record for consecutive games with at least 30 points, at five, a feat they last achieved in 2004.

Mahomes has now passed for at least 300 yards in his last eight games, tying Andrew Luck for the longest such streak in a single season. He is also one game behind the longest all-time streak (nine), which is held by Drew Brees (twice). Getting his ninth 300-yard game in a row won’t be too easy as KC faces the Arizona Cardinals next week. The Cardinals haven’t allowed more than 233 yards through the air in any of their last three games.

Sunday was Mahomes 10th career game, and in his 10 games, he has amassed 3,185 yards and 29 touchdowns. Both of these marks are the most by any player ever in their first 10 career games. Indeed, no other quarterback has at least 3,000 yards in their first 10 games.
