Baker Mayfield, QB, Cleveland Browns

Baker Mayfield hasn't exactly been a productive fantasy option over his last few games, with marks of 17.8, 12.3, 20.9 and 14.1 fantasy points over his last four starts.

Things haven't been as bad as that might look on the surface, though, as two of those games (against Baltimore and Pittsburgh) came against defenses that rank top-10 in numberFire's Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play metric.

This week's matchup doesn't come against a pushover defense, as the Kansas City Chiefs do rank a decent 15th against the pass, but the fantasy production they have allowed is a different story. Thanks to the shootout-heavy nature of their games, they are allowing the 12th-most points, 4th-most completions and 4th-most passing yards per game.

This has them allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

That game log from Mayfield isn't egregious, either -- as 17.8 and 20.9 fantasy points are both respectable marks for streamers. Only 15 quarterbacks are averaging more than 17.8 points per game this year, and only 8 are averaging more than 20.9 per game on the season.

This matchup should let Mayfield produce in the upper-end of his range of outcomes, which has proven to be more than enough to warrant a streaming start.
