4 NFL FanDuel Studs to Target in Week 9

Through the first eight weeks of the season, only three quarterbacks in the league are averaging more FanDuel points per game than Cam Newton (24.5). He has shown off a very solid floor, topping 18.0 FanDuel points in all seven games and finishing between 25.0 and 30.0 FanDuel points in five of those. That is supported by his average of 44.1 rushing yards per game, which ranks 30th in the league.

That's 30th among all players -- not just quarterbacks. He also has thrown just four interceptions all season.

One concern with him, however, is that he was limited in Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury, although it doesn't appear to be a big concern. And that's good news, as he will be in a great spot in Week 9, with the Carolina Panthers having the third-highest implied total of any team, at 30.75 points.

The matchup couldn't be any better, as Newton will be playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are giving up the most FanDuel points per game to opposing quarterbacks. They have already allowed two opposing quarterbacks to top 40.0 rushing yards, and the Bucs have intercepted only one pass all season.
