3 FanDuel Defenses to Target in Week 8
The Steelers have the struggling Browns offense coming to town in Week 8. What other defenses are worth a look in DFS this week?

Washington Redskins

FanDuel Price: $4,100
numberFire Projection: 7.9 FanDuel points

The Washington Redskins defense has been a tad underrated all season. In five of six games, they have held opponents to 21 or fewer points while ranking in the top-seven in points allowed per game and top-five in yards allowed overall. They are also coming off a top-five fantasy performance in Week 7.

Washington registered a season-high 15 FanDuel points against the Dallas Cowboys, as they recorded four sacks and two turnovers. Over their last four games, they are averaging 2.8 sacks per game. That newfound pressure will come in handy in Week 8 as they face one of the most beat up offensives lines in all of the NFL, the New York Giants.

Behind a woeful offensive line, Eli Manning has been sacked 24 times, the 5th-most in the NFL. Even when not being dropped, Manning has been feeling the pressure as he has been hit an average of 7.0 times per game, another top-10 mark. The hits are starting to wear on the 37-year-old quarterback as his Passing Net Expected Points (0.06) ranks him in the bottom half of quarterbacks with at least 100 pass attempts. Those inefficiencies have stalled what should be a potent Giants' offense. They score less than 20 points per game; only 5 teams are worse.

His touchdown percentage of 2.6% ranks him above only Marcus Mariota, Josh Allen, and Josh Rosen. The Giants implied point total of 20.5 ranks as the second-lowest on Sunday's main slate, making Washington a nice mid-priced target.
