Chicago Bears

FanDuel Price: $5,000
numberFire Projection: 8.7 FanDuel points

By far the most expensive defensive option of Week 8, the Chicago Bears cost $5,000 for a good reason. Make that two reasons -- how dominant they've played and their Week 8 opponent, the New York Jets.

Despite coming off an average performance against the high-flying New England Patriots offense -- where the Bears tallied seven FanDuel points -- Chicago leads the league in FanDuel points per game (11.7) this season. They have racked up so many fantasy points by averaging the most interceptions (1.8) and fourth-most sacks (3.2) per game this season. The strength of their D lies up front as Khalil Mack and company have not only gotten to the quarterback at an elite rate but are stifling opposing running games, allowing just 87.5 rushing yards per game. By eliminating the run this week, they can expose the Jets' biggest weakness offensively: rookie quarterback Sam Darnold.

Through seven games, Darnold has the dubious distinction of leading the NFL in interceptions (10). Only Jameis Winston and C.J. Beathard have a higher interception percentage than Darnold (4.5%) of quarterbacks who've attempted at least 100 passes; his 40.5% success rate has him ranked 31st out of those same 33 quarterbacks. And his inability to move the ball -- 16.4 first-downs per game are the third-fewest -- has New York with a bottom-barrel implied point total for the main slate (19.25).
